Privacy Policy

This policy covers luminarlab.com only — the website you’re reading right now. Each of our apps has its own privacy policy.

Effective April 1, 2026 Last updated April 28, 2026 Version 1.2

01The short version

This is a small marketing website. The only data we collect about your visit is anonymous traffic analytics through Google Analytics — pageviews, referrers, the type of browser you’re using, the country you’re visiting from. We don’t run ads, we don’t sell data, we don’t have user accounts, and there’s nothing on this site to log into.

If you email us, we keep the email so we can write back. That’s the whole story.

02What we collect

When you visit luminarlab.com, the following information is collected automatically by Google Analytics on our behalf:

Pageviews
Which pages you visited and in what order, and how long you stayed.
Referrer
The site or search engine that sent you here, if any.
Device & browser
Browser name and version, operating system, screen size, and language preference.
Approximate location
Country and region, derived from your IP address. We don’t store your full IP.
Email correspondence
If you write to contact@luminarlab.com or any other address listed on this site, we keep your message.

03What we don’t collect

04Cookies

This website uses a small number of cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish anonymous visitors and remember whether you’re a returning one. We don’t set any cookies of our own.

You can block these at any time using your browser’s settings or any standard ad/tracker blocker — the website will work exactly the same.

About the apps: The apps Luminarlab makes (Fonts, Font Keyboard, snap Friends, Youmax) are governed by their own in-app privacy policies, not this one. What you type in our keyboards is processed on-device and is never sent to us.

05Why we collect it

The analytics exists for one reason: to know whether anyone is reading the page, and roughly where they came from. We use it to decide whether the homepage is worth updating and to spot when something on the site is broken.

We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any kind of personalized experience.

06Who sees it

The only third party involved in operating this website is:

Aside from this, your data stays with us. We will only disclose information if compelled by a valid legal request, and we’ll push back on overbroad ones.

07How long we keep it

Analytics
Retained at the aggregate level by Google Analytics for 14 months, then deleted.
Email correspondence
Kept while your conversation is active, archived after 12 months.

08Your rights

Wherever you live, you can:

If you’re in the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with formal data rights, this section is in addition to those, not instead of them.

09Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page when something material changes — for example, if we add or remove an analytics provider. The version and effective date at the top will move.

10Contact
